[ METAMORPHIC MANAGEMENT — A DIVISION OF METAMORPHIC HOLDINGS LLC ]
INVESTOR REPRESENTATION · CAMPAIGN ASSURANCE · PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
Capital goes offshore and disappears from view. We are the people who stay with it — from before the rig is chosen to the last end-of-well report, on the rig floor and in the cost report, independent of everyone with something to sell.
[ WHO WE ANSWER TO ]
The operator runs the operation and holds its regulatory and statutory responsibilities in full. The drilling contractor runs the rig and keeps its established chain of command. We are not in either line. We sit beside them, we support delivery, and the data is shared with us so the assurance can be done properly.
REPORTS TO
The same facts to both. Independent campaign cost and performance reporting that is neither the operator reporting on itself nor the funder reporting on its own investment.
WORKS ALONGSIDE
Collaboratively, in support of safe and efficient delivery. Experienced people who have stood in those roles, offering guidance through the proper interfaces.
NEVER
We do not direct the operator, supervise the contractor, or assume anyone’s statutory or contractual responsibility. Assurance that displaces authority is not assurance.
[ WHAT WE DO ]
Most oversight arrives after the contract is signed, when the expensive decisions have already been made. Ours starts at rig sourcing, because that is where the campaign economics are actually set.
Market screening against the technical basis, sourced and dated from contractors’ own fleet positions. Technical and commercial evaluation, condition and mobilisation assessment, and a written recommendation before capital is committed.
Day rate, mobilisation, acceptance criteria, downtime and NPT allocation, substitution, extension and termination — reviewed on total campaign economics, never on headline rate.
A controlled bridging framework and interface matrix across every organisation on the campaign. Gaps, conflicts and undefined responsibilities identified and closed before mobilisation — not after an incident.
Experienced advisors onboard day and night through the campaign. They observe, analyse and advise alongside the crews. They do not replace the operator’s authority or the contractor’s chain of command.
Critical path, NPT, invisible lost time, flat time, connections and tripping — measured as the campaign runs, and fed back into the next well while it can still change the outcome.
Independent monitoring of expenditure against the approved AFE, forecast at completion, variance analysis and end-of-well reconciliation — operational and financial performance reviewed together.
[ HOW PERFORMANCE IS MEASURED ]
Campaigns get faster as they run. If the yardstick moves every time performance improves, the improvement disappears from the record and nobody is rewarded for delivering it. So the baseline is fixed before the well starts, and it stays fixed.
01
The initial approved well AFE and duration baseline are agreed and frozen before the well starts. That baseline is never overwritten.
02
Actual days, cost, NPT, invisible lost time and scope change captured contemporaneously offshore — not reconstructed afterwards from a daily report.
03
Every well is reconciled at the end-of-well report against its original baseline, with exclusions and normalisation applied openly.
04
Nothing counts as a saving until it has been through the agreed verification process. Every entry carries its state on a cumulative ledger.
Our commercial interest is aligned by construction: we are engaged to make the campaign safer, faster and cheaper, and we participate in the upside only after the value we have created exceeds what we cost. Performance is never recognised from savings achieved at the expense of safety, well integrity, regulatory compliance or required maintenance.
[ OFFSHORE ]
Invisible lost time does not appear in a daily drilling report. Neither does the connection that takes four minutes longer than it should, or the trip that could have started an hour earlier. It is seen by experienced people who are there, watching, on both tours.
Our advisors work with the crews, not over them. Performance offshore is delivered on the rig floor, and an advisor received as a monitor sent to grade people gets worked around. One received as an experienced hand who makes the next trip go better gets used. We staff and brief for the second.
Continuous coverage through normal campaign operations, on both tours.
NPT, invisible lost time, flat time, tripping and connection performance.
Guidance offered through the proper operational and management interfaces.
HSE, well control and well integrity — the first condition of any performance.
[ ENQUIRIES ]
Engagements are structured to the campaign. Scope, reporting lines and commercial terms are discussed directly and in confidence.
